Gordon Colvin of DEC’s Bureau of Marine resources informed the Council and guests that Mr. Byron Young, Marine Finfish Section Head for the Bureau of Marine Resources, was scheduled for heart bypass surgery later this week and will be out of the office for a while. The Council asked that its best wishes for a speedy recovery be passed along to Mr. Young.

Chairman Wise announced that Councilor Melissa Dearborn recently delivered a baby girl and he passed around a congratulations card for signatures. Councilor McBride suggested that a collection of money be taken up to buy some flowers to go along with the card to Ms. Dearborn and this was done.
