Mr. Colvin distributed to the Council a list of issues relative to marine finfish that will likely be addressed in the next round of revisions to marine finfish regulations. These included measures affecting black sea bass commercial fishery management, fluke commercial size limits, monkfish management measures to ensure consistency with measures in the EEZ, tautog recreational catch limits, groundfish measures needed to be consistent with federal measures, fluke and striped bass special commercial harvest permit restrictions, the subject of the earlier MRAC subcommittee, and 2003 specifications for bluefish, fluke, scup and black sea bass. More detailed proposals on these items will be presented to the Council at its 12 November 2002 meeting.
