Chairman Wise reminded the Council that this subcommittee, comprised of Councilors Tom Melton, Tom Jordan and Joe McBride, had been formed at the request of Councilor McBride to look into the recommendation of a cap on charter and party boat licenses.  The subcommittee was having a difficult time getting together.  Mr. Wise asked the Council if it was still interested in having this subcommittee do its work.  Councilor McBride suggested that the subcommittee be given at least until the end of the year to submit findings and a recommendation on this matter to the Council.  Mr. McBride stated that the Council is on record as supporting the concept of a charter and party boat operators license cap.  By acclamation, the Council moved to extend the duration of this subcommittee’s charge through the end of 2004, with a report due to the Council at its January 2005 meeting.
