Chairman William Wise opened the meeting at 1:05 p.m. Council by-laws require that, in addition to a minimum of ten Council members, at least four representatives from both the recreational and commercial fishing industries be present to constitute a quorum. Mr. Wise informed the Council that there would not be four recreational fishing industry representatives present at the meeting and the meeting would be unofficial. He advised that, in the future, Councilors and members of the public check the Council’s website, http://www.msrc.sunysb.edu/MRAC/, for any cancellations or other, unforeseen changes to the Council’s meeting schedule.
