Chairman William Wise opened the meeting at 2:05 p.m. Twelve Councilors were present at this meeting: four recreational fishing representatives, seven commercial fishing representatives, and the chairman.

Mr. Gordon Colvin of DEC informed the Council that Mr. Chet Wilcox had resigned from the Council, citing business obligations that made it impossible for him to attend Council meetings. It is hoped that DEC Commissioner Cahill will appoint a replacement for Mr. Wilcox before the next Council meeting.
