SoMAS Institutes and Facilities

Located on Stony Brook University's 1000 acre campus 60 miles east of New York City and 75 miles west of Montauk Point, faculty and students have access to laboratories well equipped to support research and education in a wide variety of oceanographic and atmospheric disciplines. The School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences is also home to several institutes that support research, education and outreach activities.
