Opening

Chairman William Wise opened the meeting at 2:10 pm. He introduced Ms. Kim Knoll as the Council’s new staff assistant. Mr. Gordon Colvin of DEC noted that there would be a public hearing on Draft Amendment 6 to the Striped Bass Fishery Management Plan the following night, 18 September 2002, at 7:00 pm at the Student Activities Center on the campus of Stony Brook University. There will be another hearing at a soon-to-be determined date in New Paltz along the Hudson River.

The draft minutes of the Council’s 16 July 2002 meeting were adopted as written.
