Mr. Byron Young of DEC informed the Council of an increasing number of complaints stating that recreational fishermen are using undersized individuals of regulated species such as fluke, taotog, seabass, winter flounder, and scup as bait. This is illegal. The Council recommended that this matter be brought to the attention of ECO’s in the Division of Law Enforcement.
