Mr. Gordon Colvin of DEC announced publication of the final report on cormorant predation in eastern Lake Ontario, which is available to the general public at the DEC website. A study by the Department has concluded that cormorants have a significant impact on the abundance of smallmouth bass and forage species in the lake A management program for dealing with the high cormorant abundance will be developed.
