Chairman Wise indicated that the Council had met informally immediately prior to today’s meeting to discuss aspects of its operation that might have been contributing to the problem of lack of Councilor attendance at several recent Council meetings. Several changes to routine meeting arrangements had been discussed and needed to be formally adopted by the Council. The Council adopted a motion setting its quorum number henceforth as the presence of four (4) representatives each from the recreational and commercial fishing industries and establishing a schedule for holding its regularly-scheduled meetings on the third Tuesday in the months of January, March, April, May, July, September, and November. Meetings will begin at 2:00 p.m. The vote was 12 in favor; 0 opposed; 0 abstentions. In the unlikely event that a quorum could not attend, the meeting would be canceled.
