Chairman William Wise opened the meeting by introducing new Marine Resources Advisory Council member Melissa Dearborn, appointed by DEC Commissioner Cahill to replace the vacancy left on the Council by the retirement of Chet Wilcox III. Ms. Dearborn, a sportfishing representative and Executive Director of the New York Fishing Tackle Trade Association, spoke briefly on her involvement with marine resource management issues in New York.
